first day at work today... yay... was almost late for work this morning. it was quite scary. haha. took a cab to the office cos i was scared i would get lost and risk going to work on the first day super late. yes yes. but i managed to rush to work on time by God's grace. yup. was starving by the time i got to the office tho. cos i didn't eat breakfast and only had a small lil quiche for lunch. but then again, i'm on a diet so it doesn't really matter. i almost died when i weighed myself last night. it was a disgusting sight... don't ask. >.<
i've been reading non-stop since i started work at around 9am. files after files after files, case after case after case... my eyeballs are gonna pop out soon and my brain cells are fried due to information overload. the brain can't take it anymore... and what, i still have 2 more hours to go. T.T working life is not that bad... i mean, today's work wasn't even actual work. it was just reading and all. jessica (the prettiest and coolest lawyer on earth, who happens to be in charge of me for this peroid) said that there wasn't much that she could give me today and she wanted me to just get used to the documents that were used and the types of procedures taken when filing a court case or anything of that sort. sadly, i dirtied my lovely white shirt during lunch with my naughty orange pen... raar... yes, the flawless shirt now has a mark. sob. yes, if u were wondering, it is my NEW Zara white shirt which i bought yesterday. i have kinda promised myself that when i actually do go to work next time, all my clothes would be bought from Zara. the clothes there for working class are fantastic... just that the prices are as fantastic. yeah... i would have killed my dad's credit cards if i got them. haha. yeap.
i actually feel as though i'm in a Sophie Kinsella book. seriously, i never dreamed that working in a law firm would be something like what Sophie Kinsella writes in many of her books, though none of the characters in her books works in a law firm, i think... haha. but ya, it actually has a semblence of a Sophie Kinsella story. which may not be such a bad thing. actually, its a good thing to me. haha... cos i'm totally in love with Sophie Kinsella's book. LOL.
the sights and sounds at the law firm are actually quite similar to a staff room. yes, and i mean the school type. hmmm... ya... lol. the people here are really really nice. josephine is a really motherly and nice lady. yes, on the phone she sounded nice, but in real life, she's even nicer. yeap.
okie dokes. gotta run. ta ta...
